A Terrible Beauty is Born – centenary exhibition in Athlone Library

From now until March 12, the Aidan Heavey Public Library in Athlone is showcasing an exhibition borrowing its title from the famous line by W.B. Yeats: A Terrible Beauty is Born. This will be the first of two library exhibitions focusing on the 1916 Rising.

Living Links provide inspiration for graphic design exhibition at Athlone Library

The Aidan Heavey Public Library, Athlone is delighted to play host to an exhibition of posters from undergraduate students of Graphic Design at AIT. The students’ brief was to create a campaign to build public awareness of the service provided by Midlands Living Links and to encourage those who may need help to make the call to (086) 1600641.

An exhibition currently running in Athlone Library, entitled "Can you hear what I see?" features 10 paintings by Brendan Duffy and 10 poems in response by local Athlone poet Jackie Gorman.
